Past Obsessions

When I was younger, I remember being fascinated by ventriloquists such as Shari Lewis, Edgar Bergen and Senor Wences, simply because they brought such life and humour to their characters. Then one day, in the mid-70s, I saw this guy and his dummy, who was a woman of "a certain age" and dressed to the nines.

And I fell in love with Madame...
